This web site is developing very quickly and some changes have large effects on the users experience. Because our development team is so small, many changes may not be fully tested and therefore some things may not work for you.

A: What is the weather in Canada like compared to Japan?

B: Canada is a lot cooler than Japan. In my hometown, the coldest temperature I ever felt was -45° C.

A: Wow, that’s too cold for me. Japan never gets that cold. The coldest in my hometown is about -5°. Is it cold all year in Canada?

B: Oh no, of course not. The summers are very hot. Around Vancouver and the west coast is a lot like Tokyo. But other cities are much hotter and drier. My hometown averages around 27° and the hottest is about 36°.

A: Is your hometown a big city?

B: For Canada it is big, compared to other cities in North America it is much smaller. There is just under a million people living in Edmonton, however it has the largest amount of urban parkland in North America. So, it’s a very big city on the map, bigger than Chicago, but has one of the lowest population densities of any major North American city.

server side updates

I've done some nifty work that makes the url's more friendly. Before, when looking at a document such as Bambi, the url would be:
/node/480 - which has no value to the people using the site.
Now the Bambi article looks like:
/movie/Bambi - much better.

This has been applied to just about everything on the website, including events. For a private lesson event in the group Darren-Yuki, the url looks something like this:
/private-lesson/darren_yuki/2006/sep/01/yuki_lesson_2006_09_02 - where the last bit is the title of the event.

All spaces and puncuation in the title are converted into underlines _.

please let me know if you see anything strange.
