Materials
No materials needed. However, youcould use fake pistols or a bell.
Description
Two students will come to the front of the class and will race each other to say an english word.
Details
1) Divide the class into two teams. Explain that they are cowboys and they are involved in a duel.
2) One student from each team comes to the front. Get them to pretend to draw their pistols. The teacher will say "how do you say..." and a word in Japanese.
3) The first student to give the answer and then "BANG", pretending to shoot his/her opponent is the winner. He/she remains standing and the other one sits down. Instead of guns the students could also try to hit a bell the fastest and then say the word.
Note: Instead of saying the word in Japanese, it would be possible to use a picture or to say a definition ("What do you call a fat pink animal with a curly tail?")
